Main research fields: he has in recent years directed 6 projects and participated in many projects from various departments, The main research area is the Qinghai Tibet Plateau and its surrounding areas, including Longmen mountain in the eastern margin of the plateau, the western Kunlun Pamirs of the northwestern margin of the plateau, and the Qiangtang region within the plateau. The following research has been conducted in the above research areas: the geological structure, paleomagnetism, low-temperature thermochronology as well as the study of active tectonics, tectonic geomorphology, earthquake geology, leading to the Cenozoic deformation and uplift events of main basin in the northern margin of the Tibetan Plateau and its nearby mountains, revealing the earthquake slip mechanism of different types that the Wenchuan earthquake fault zone having experienced. In recent years, he has gone to many countries and regions such as France and the United States to conduct international cooperation and participate in mainstream international academic conferences, enabling him to boast good international cooperation and research background. Since 2008 he has published over 10 papers as the first author (including 7 SCI papers), co-authored more than 40 academic papers.
